Jayna Thompson, Owner and Manager

Jayna is the owner and manager of Alexis' Suitcase. Even from a very young age, she knew she wanted to own a clothing store.
When friends would come over to play, Jayna would take out her adding machine
and receipt paper and "ring them up". It was her favorite game!
She grew up in Alpharetta, attending Milton High School. She
then attended Georgia Tech where she earned a B.S. in Business Management, graduating with highest honors. After college she went to work at her brother's e-commerce business learning the day to day techniques of running a business. After four years with his company, she decided to branch out on her own. Her mother, Jennifer Rice,
quit her job as a property manager and spent the next 2 years devoted to helping Jayna get Alexis' Suitcase started. After her mother went back to work,
Jayna was on her own and continued to grow Alexis' Suitcase. They started in a 1300 square foot store in Sandy Springs. Now Alexis' Suitcase has two 3000 square foot stores in Sandy Springs and Johns Creek. She is married her wonderful husband, Chad, and they are expecting their first child in January 2011. Jayna is so grateful her dream comes true and truly enjoys running Alexis' Suitcase.

Jennifer grew up in Tollesboro, KY on a dairy farm and was the only girl in a family of 5 children. She attended Morehead State University with a degree in Sociology and taught high school English for a few years. She moved to Atlanta and worked for many years in the commercial property management field. She has two children, son Tom and daughter Jayna. When the opportunity arose to help Jayna achieve her childhood dream she very selflessly took time off from her career to help. After a few years back in the corporate world she is now back at the shops again! She loves meeting new people everyday, as well as seeing the early customers who still come in to shop every week!

Daniella grew up in Duluth, GA and attended Duluth High School.
She is currently studying Business Management at Kennesaw State
University. Daniella has
been working at Alexis' Suitcase since October 2008. From the
beginning, she had a strong knowledge of brands and trends and
quickly learned to accurately select and price consignment clothing
items, including authenticating designer brands.

Stephanie May,

Stephanie grew up in Alpharetta, GA
attending Alpharetta High School. She has managed a Plato's
Closet location in Georgia and has always loved consignment and
resale shops. She welcomed the opportunity to continue her
consignment career at Alexis' Suitcase and brought previous training
and knowledge to the table with her.
She works at the Sandy Springs
store mainly selecting and pricing consignments but also assists
with customer service as needed.
She is also an up-and-coming chef,
with future plans to attend culinary school. She even caters
the parties we host at the shop, so stop by a party one day to
sample her delicious creations! |

Lindsey Edmonds, Sales

Lindsey has always been into fashion
and attended Bauder College in Atlanta with a major in Fashion
Merchandising. After college she worked at Guess as a retail
sales associate and interned at the Atlanta Apparel Mart.
She is truly a people person and
excels at customer service. She loves helping customers put
together new looks and is in charge of customer service at the Sandy
Spring store Monday through Friday. |

Lori Guy, Sales Associate

Lori grew up in Douglasville, GA and
has always been a hardworking and dependable person. She has
worked some retail, including being assistant manager at a drug
store, but also has experience in office management.
The fashion and consignment industry
has been a welcome opportunity for her to experience a new industry,
and she quickly learned the ins and outs of the business.
Come into the Johns Creek store
during the week or Sandy Springs on weekends and you'll see Lori's
smiling face...always eager to lend a hand and only happy if you
leave completely satisfied! |
